I largely grew up in the first house on Court Street as you cross into Brockton from Abington, with Hunts Pond essentially in my backyard (although I had always called it Mills Pond). I attended Brockton schools but spent the majority of my free time in Abington and Rockland - cutting through the woods up to WalMart to buy fish for my aquarium - or renting movies from Stones on Rt18 (now Rt18 Superstore) - or crawling underneath the sitting area at the old wooden Beaver Brook Park.
In 2005, I left for Marine Corps bootcamp and for 14 years served in various roles and locations.
In 2006 I served as an Infantryman and CQB/explosive breacher for a special weapons facility in Washington State,
In 2009 - 2014 I served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician in North Carolina, which included two trips to Afghanistan (Marjeh and Sangin).
In 2014, I managed to find my way back to the Boston area to serve as a recruiter and recruiting substation commander (Framingham and Tremont Street offices), which allowed me to connect with the local community.
In 2019, my wife and I bought our first home together here in Abington where we welcomed three boys into the world (plus my 16-year-old daughter who is a Junior at Cardinal Spellman HS).
In 2019, I left active duty service and have been in Construction Technology sales and management ever since.
From 2020 to 2024, I joined the Abington Finance Committee and distinctly remember my first meeting being conducted virtually. During those years, I learned so much about local government operations and we are very fortunate to have those few consistent members of that committee.
In 2025, I began an Executive MBA program at Suffolk University in Boston, which will wrap up in December 2026.

Affordability - property taxes continue to increase for our residents (largely due to market assessed values increasing) potentially pricing out our senior residents.
Budget Management - we need to start being responsible to the tax payer and managing the towns budget more conservatively.

Roughly four years with the Abington Finance Committee where I served as Chairman for two budget seasons.
